I was invited to an event on April 4th in Cambridge originally as a speaker, but couldn’t confirm the invite so they moved onto another GREAT company, Gotham Bicycle Defense Industries. I’ve met the guys who started it and they’re awesome. Also, their product is an anti-theft bike light that I can’t wait to get my hands on.
I’m still trying to figure out if I can make the event but if you are interested in business, kickstarter, crowdfunding or really cool bike lights you should definitely go. Here’s the description and invite:
After 6 months interviewing Kickstarter entrepreneurs, studying Kickstarter videos, and developing a launch strategy, Gotham Bicycle Defense Industries hit their $18K funding goal in one day and have tripled this number in three weeks.
TechCrunch calls their theft-resistant bike light, “A Bike Headlight to End All Bike Headlights.”
Through this experience, co-founders Brad Geswein and Slava Menn discovered a “Kickstarter Equation: 5 Key Variables to a Kickass Kickstarter Project”.
They will share their learnings Wednesday, April 4th from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) in the C3 Coworking Space. This event is hosted by Jesse Waites ofPNTHR at the Cambridge Innovation Center in the C3 space in the Havana room.
